It feels like ages since we last spoke not on a zoom call
It’s not the same, to speak this way
And it feels like such a long way back now
The start of all this
It feels like a lot more than the past year
Right away so much change, like a parallel universe
Like a dream, this bitch year
Like the other side of my favourite episode
Like a night out drinking that lasted a few years too long
They keep saying we have to go back
To the same thing as we had before
And in just a bit of time it will be just as good as it was
And going back home for a while will be fine
You can see how it works out
It feels like the day you get a grip
On working towards the dream
One of the good days it feels like you are not too far from
Suddenly the next update is:
You’re going to be there for a lot more than the rest of the year
The world is not feeling very well
Go see the sunshine today and try again tomorrow morning
You can have it all over again
It feels like it’s okay but it’s not really like that, you’re not doing okay
And It feels the same way to me, I’m going a little bit manic
And how many countries are going through this trouble?
It’s just not working, so it will have to change
With all of us free from the road, we can make a better place
So much better than the other one, of before
It feels like the right time for the next steps, a new era
It’s going to be the best way to process
The walls are still being built, look around you
It’s going to be a bit of a mess either way
Look at the weather, but then look at the people
Who have been able to commit to their imaginations
Who discuss, and put money in the post
And who are drawing a relationship with the lakes and the fields and the trees
It feels like a good day to be a better person
The world is such a better place with a little kindness
I just wanted you to know, I look at that
And it feels like tomorrow morning will be OK
Like it’s an actual thing to be happy for
Like the world is going to be better soon
And I’m going to be able to sleep
We are just going to have to try to be strong enough
And it might take a little more time
But we will get to see a great world
And if we are good to it, it will be good to us
